Managing Director

Background

Ishil is the founder and managing director of the IMA Group of Companies. He has built and guided IMA to a sizeable company with strong foundations and a track record during the last 10 years.
Prior to IMA, Ishil was involved in equities, then real estate wealth management at Killik and Co.
He started his career at Citigroup.

Role at IMA

Management - Ishil structures and directs the overall strategy for the Group
Origination & Structuring - He is heavily involved with joint venture agreements and raising debt:equity structures
Acumen - Ishil’s attention to detail and entrepreneurial drive grows the Group from an earnings and a profitability perspective

Meer Shah

Head of Research & Acquisitions

Background

IMA associate consultant prior to joining Group
IMA staff for over 5 years, rising from Analyst to Head of Department
Prior career experience includes Administration and Compliance at an IFA; and as a trained and widely published journalist, including a Merit from London School of Journalism

Role at IMA

Deal Origination – sourcing; relationship management to present IMA as a preferred buyer; negotiations
Research Analysis – viability and sustainability of a site/project; unitary mix based on planning policy and market demand; historic and current trends; future area development, including infrastructure and capital growth; competitor analysis
Disposal – pricing; marketing strategy; agent analysis, negotiation and selection; buyer qualification; offer negotiation

Ian Shorter, BCA, ACA, IFA

Chief Financial Officer

Background

In excess of 25 years experience of full finance functions, currently responsible for Group Treasury, Financial and Compliance function, and individual project financial strategy
Prior career experience includes working for some of the largest organisations in New Zealand, Australia and USA; primary sectors worked in were land and property development, commercial and residential construction, motor industry and manufacturing and FMG
Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Institute of Financial Advisors, and Institute of Directors

Group Accountant

Background

In excess of 25 years experience of financial control and finance team management, currently responsible for day-to-day management of IMA accounts
Prior career experience includes 17 years at a FTSE 250 Property company, where roles included Head of Investment Management, Divisional Director (Finance) and Controller (Finance and Projects)
Prior career experience includes Financial Controller roles at large corporations

Background

A Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 40 years’ experience in the UK construction industry
Previously a partner of two national quantity surveyor practices
Extensive experience of commercial, industrial and high end residential projects across the UK

Kieron Murphy

Divisional Preconstruction Director & Head of Strategic Bid Management

Background

An experienced Construction Director with over 40 years’ experience in the sector
Previously involved with two major national Groups in the following roles; Senior Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager and Project Director on major projects within the leisure (hotels) and high end residential sectors.
Experience in technical, logistics, programming and supply chain / procurement strategies alongside Risk & Opportunity evaluation
